Good to know
Some fast food and health care jobs have a higher minimum.
Overtime
Under federal law, hours over 40 in a workweek are paid at time and a half (1.5 times your regular rate): at California’s minimum, at least $25.35 an hour. In California, hours over 8 in a day are overtime too, and hours over 12 are paid at double time.
PayJar applies weekly overtime from the start and lets you turn on daily overtime and double time. Add up your week’s hours and overtime in the time card calculator.
