About these terms

These terms cover the PayJar app and payjar.app. PayJar is made by Maurizzio Penalba, an individual developer. By using PayJar, you agree to them. If you got the app from the App Store, Apple’s standard license agreement also applies. If you got it from Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply.

Estimates, not advice

PayJar estimates gross pay (before taxes) from the hours, rates and rules you enter or choose. The minimum wages and the overtime and premium rules in PayJar are summaries of public sources. They can change, and they may not match your job or contract. All of this also applies to the calculators and guides on payjar.app and to the result of comparing your paycheck.

PayJar isn’t a pay stub or payslip, and it isn’t legal, tax or financial advice. Before you rely on a figure, check it with your employer or an official source.

Free features and Pro

Clocking in and out, tips, overtime and premiums, checking your paycheck or payslip, your full history and CSV or Excel export are free. Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and the store shows the price before you buy. Apple or Google takes the payment. To get Pro back on a new phone, use “Restore purchase” on the Pro screen, signed in with the Apple ID or Google account you bought it with.

Refunds

Apple and Google handle refunds: on iPhone at reportaproblem.apple.com, and on Android from your Google Play order history. These terms don’t limit any right you have under your country’s law, including any right to cancel a purchase.

Your data

Your records stay on your phone, and there’s no account, so we can’t recover them for you. Keep a backup: Settings has the options. The privacy policy explains what the app stores and sends.

Using PayJar

You can use PayJar for your own records. Don’t resell or copy the app, try to extract its code except where the law allows it, or use it to break the law.

Changes

PayJar and these terms can change. When the terms change, we update the date at the top of this page. If you keep using PayJar after that, the new terms apply.

Warranty and liability

PayJar is provided as is, without any promise that it’s free of errors or will always be available. As far as the law allows, we aren’t responsible for losses from pay disputes, lost data or decisions based on its estimates. Nothing here removes rights or liability that the law doesn’t let us exclude.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Nicaragua. This doesn’t take away any consumer rights that the law of your country doesn’t let you give up.
